A D Metro’s ULTRA glass armoured touch sensor should be considered for any application that utilizes a resistive type touch sensor. However, due to ULTRA’s enhanced durability and reliability it is particularly well suited to a number of specific market segments. These markets include:
- Military – Durable, Low EMI emissions, glove activated and available with many EMI shielded or optical enhancements
- Industrial – Durable, glove activated, chemical resistant, NEMA sealable and high impact tolerance.
- Mobile/PDA – Scratch proof front, stylus activated, expanded environmental operating envelope, low cost.
- Kiosk – Vandal resistant, durable glass surface, NEMA sealable, pressure activated, reliable non-attended operation.
- Medical – Durable and hygienic glass surface, glove/stylus activated, passive.
These are a selection of markets for which the ULTRA glass armoured sensor is particularly well suited, but this is certainly not a complete list. If you are considering a glass fronted sensor for your application ULTRA is probably worth considering.
